hi all

i've got a current brick wall ( non load supporting ) between by garage back and the lobby by the dining room. I want to move the wall about 300mm into the lobby to make the garage larger. Can i replace the brick wall with stud and plasterboard as it isn't load bearing?

Will this comply with building regs? it will have a fire rated door within in.

thanks for your help

Yes you can. Use fireline boards on the garage side with 100mm celotex between studs and 25mm across the studs on one the warm side only. Finish the lobby side with 12.5mm plasterboard and skim.
