Looking for advice on my garden bench. It keeps leaking sap and you can’t really sit on it, as it ruins your clothes. It’s so sticky. Do I sand it right back and put some sort of oil on? It’s just got a garden stain on it at the mo. I wanted to check before I sand it right back as it will be a big effort for me to do that. Any ideas?

Oil won’t stop it.

You could dig out as much as you can then wash with cellulose thinners to melt the resin then wipe it off with a rag.

But if the sun gets on it you might find it leaching out again
