I have laid armoured cable from the consumer unit in my garage to a position in the garden for a water feature and associated lights. I would like some advice on the most appropriate (and cost effective) method of wiring these up to the cable so the water feature and lights switch on/off independently and at the required times.

Thank you

assuming its only a 2 core swa, and you want each independantly switched and or timed you will need to have a large weatherproof box in which to put the timer(s) the swa can be made off into this (as opposed to using another box for the swa.

and how deep is the cable buried, is it marked?

how ever as its a fixed cable in the garden it comes under part p. try a search for it
