Garden fence heights

Hi all gardeners and fencers

firstly I’m not a gardener but thought this year I’d sort the front garden out.

move just looked at the regs for fences think it said 1 metre facing a road or footpath and 6ft 6 in other areas which is fine

the bit I’m confused on is in the front garden we have a fence running down the garden separating our garden and next doors would this be a 1 metre fence or 6’6

It right once then have to do it twice… them concrete posts are a pain in the butt to lift!
