Hi there, I put these 2 bolts on the bottom of my garden gates. The holes that I drilled into the ground have since filled up with dust and grit and stuff. This means that the bolts no longer drop into the ground to secure the gates. Is there any way of lining the holes and stopping grit falling into them to ensure that the bolts will drop into the ground? Thanks for all useful advice. Mutley56 View media item 75946

As an update, I drilled out 2 holes in the concrete and then concreted in 2 short lengths of 15mm copper tube. In hind sight,it might have been better to use 22mm tube as the bolts are a very snug fit in the 15mm tube and as the wooden gates swell a bit in the wet weather then the bolts might not drop into the tube as easily they do now. Anyway, time will tell.
