I’m installing a small timber gate
The gate post currently in is 117cm high
If I put a new gate post on the opposite wall, this will mean that the top of the post is approx 18cm higher than the top of the wall
My question is:
Do I use the same post height even though it will be higher than the wall?
Or do I bring the post to the top of the wall?
I always think it’s best having the posts the same height but would this look stupid protruding cm above the wall?
Pic below is the CURRENT gate but they want an exact match made
