I've built a garden room in my back garden, the front is going to be clad with Cedar, my question is the sides and back can not be seen from any angle so I'm looking for a cheap option to cover them with any sort of 8x4 sheet material will do. can anyone suggest the most cost effective way to cover them, obviously it needs to be weather proof.
All suggestions gratefully considered

Can't think of any sheet material that wouldn't deteriorate fairly quickly, you could tack t&g cladding onto external plywood or osb3 and fit as one piece if access is difficult.

Blup

Corrugated tin roofing sheets or more attractive steel box profile cladding/roofing sheets (including the tile effect stuff), bitumen shed roofing sheets from Wickes or BandQ.

so it's a house extension, not a shed?

What are the walls made of?

My fathers neighbour has a garden room.

On the non seen sides, they have used OSB and painted it with what looks like grey roof sealer

Something like this:

Or you could use rendaboard

Ideally you need trvek breather membrane, then tile battens vertically to create cavity, then your board. That way the outer board is acting as a weatherscreen not providing the weatherproofing.
