I installed a garden tap from B&Q (must've been around 1997/98) - a load of blue flexible pipes included in the installation.
I have replaced the O ring several times and recently replaced the hose connector.
The pressure was fine for years but, for the past year or so, has dropped a lot. I have checked the water pressure elsewhere in the house and ensured that the stop valve (or whatever it's called is at maximum).
Could it be partly blocked by an air lock? (I have read about the trick with the sponge at this site)?
Thanks
SS

check the intergrety of the blue plastic hose. If this is not kinked anywhere, then you need a new washer in your tap.

Checking if limescale has partially blocked the tap.......garden taps include a check valve to prevent back siphonage ie sucking dirty crap from a pond back into fresh water in the house......as has been said try checking the 'flexible' pipes as well....otherwise...change the tap...10 yrs is a good run for your money

Personally, for the cost of a new outside tap i would just buy a new one and fit it, problem solved.

I had one of these the other day.

Turned out that the check valve that had limescale inside.

Fitted a new check valve, problem solved.

Did the kit use a self cutting tap, if so check that it hasn't scaled up around the small hole it cuts.
