I am a real novice on working with plumbing and on using these forums , so please bear with me.
I have a garden tap that has some kind of pressure safety mechanism built in (as far as I understand anyway). It used to occasionally get 'blown' resulting in the removable part of the valve coming off and water gushing out of the feed. This now happens all of the time that I turn the water feed on to this tap. I am not sure what to do next to fix this myself. I have attached some photos which I hope explain the situation more clearly than my amateur terms and words. Any pointers really appreciated.
Thank you,
Johnny
