Hi

I've decided after 8 years of paying £75 to my alarm company to come and service it for 20 minutes once a year and change the battery every 3 years that i'd drop them (as the charge has gone up to £88)

How easy is it to fit a replacement battery to one of these, what type of battery is it and details please

tks in advance

You put it into engineers mode, take the old battery out, put the new battery in and take it out of engineers mode.

You will need the engineers code to do this

Of course you could just open the panel and enter your code and hope it doesnt need an engineer code to clear the tamper.

You should also notify your insurance company you have done this, if you don't and you have a break in they may decline to pay

the battery will be the same as what is there, PROBABLY 12v 7ah
