not too sure if this can be done but, i have a back boiler and i want to get rid of gas altogether and have electric heating system.
Can this be done, if so, any idea of prices?
cheers

Yes it can but you'd be off your rocker to have it done.... Unless you have money to throw away..

only reason behind it is that i am never in, and only really use 1 or 2 rooms in the house. it seems a waste putting heating on just for 1 room and just to do my washing up.
On a different note, I saw something on TV the other day, it was something that heated your water direct from the pipe when you turn the tap on. It said it was something based under the sink.
Are they expensive to install/buy?

Is your back boiler one of those Baxis with a gas fire attached to it? If so, this is surely a pretty economical way of heating a single room.

It is Chris yeah, i dont use that room that its in.
i only use a couple of rooms in the house, and besides, the fire is horrible, and i was told i cant change it.
