I was with two local shops today and i got different information from the girls who worked in the shops, 1st girl told me there is no difference a gas cooker is a gas cooker, the 2nd girl told me that gas cookers don't come in 50cm widths and they no longer sell cookers for bottled gas, yet we buy our bottled gas from them, so that's why i asked the question above.

Go on google and do a search for lpg cookers . 50CM Is not a popular width nowadays 55 and 60 are more popular

most gas cookers come with an lpg conversion kit that your rgi can fit to suit the type of gas used, cannot remeber ever seing one that doesn't come with l.p.g kit supplied, as long as the kit is fitted and correct hose is used then all is ok.
of course your gas engineer will advise on this ;)
