Gas Cooker not firing up

Everything works fine, switches on OK, but the gas cooker does not fire up past the initial switch on? Is it the thermostat? Is it fixable?

Yeah right, you're funny aren't you. If you read the post correctly it says that it doesn't fire up past the initial switch on. Is there something wrong with you? Or are you merely incapable of reading correctly in a lame attempt to be amusing?

What is not working? The Gas or the electric spark? does it fail the same way a lot or just once?

Thank you but I have established what the problem is now and how to fix it. Won't be coming on this site again thanks all the same. Could starve to death waiting for a reply.

you probably shouldnt have come on this site in the first place,gas is dangerous and is not to be messed about with unless youre a corgi registered plumber it is incompetent fools like you who mess with gas that cause unecessary accidents in the home stick to the basic diy......putting shelves up.
