Hi. We have just had a guy out to give us a gas safety certificate but apparently the fifth ring in the middle of the cooker (one we never use) has a carbon monoxide problem. He says the only way he will supply us with a certificate is if we block off the burner with a plastic cap. Didn't think to ask at the time but what plastic cap would he be referring to?

Many Thanks

I think that would be a question best asked to the engineer involved. As whatever it is, must be of an appropriate material.
And I understand that plastic caps, are not appropriate for capping off gas!
