Gas cooker - replacement of individual gas valve to gas hob

The gas hob valves that turn the gas hob ring on/off high/low etc. are they easily replaced. Or do they need careful cleaning when I'm experiencing not much adjustment and its occasional failing to turn off properly.

I note they are sold as R, S, A. and are not that expensive.

I'm wondering if they need some sort of silicone grease to lubricate any working part!

Gas tap repair/replacing/greasing is only to be done by qualified persons and no further advice will be given on the open forum.As your taps do not turn off properly I would suggest you get them checked.
