Gas Cooker

I've just bought a new gas cooker & connected it to the gas meter with JG pipe. I now want to check for leaks, so the question is; is it better to check with a lighter or a match?? I know if I use the lighter there's less chance of me burning my hand.

Always bad practice to use a lighter. You should always use a safety match.

Fairy liquid would be safer and smell better.

Unless of course you have some unsightly arm hair that needs removal also .
