What is the current position regarding gas fires. I have a gas fire that is fitted to a precast flue with a 5" diameter pipe running through the roofspace. Is this still OK under current regulations or if not what is needed and do you have a rough guide as to costs of the works. THANKS.

It depends if your fire is compatible for use on class1 or class2 flue.
The MI will tell you if the fire is compatible with class2 flue.
