Gas Hob convertion from bottle to natural gas?

I've got a 2nd hand Whirlpool gas hob which has previously been connected to a gas bottle, when I rang my local CORGI fitter to fit it he said it was no good and I'd have to get a new one as I wanted it connecting to natural gas.

Is it not just a case of replacing connections/jets?
Don't really want to have to buy a new one. Any suggestions welcomed
