gas hob

I have just fitted a gas hob and want to know what a reasonable price would be for connecting the gas.The pipe is about 12 inch from the hob connection but at the moment there is only the socket for the cooker

depends on where you are,

I would say an hours work plus and hand full of mats

Plumber coming next thursday,quoted £40 and he was recommended by two people

that is very very very reasonable and if they have been recommended you cant go wrong nice one m8

£40 is fine if all that he has to do is tee into the existing pipe. What if the existing is 15mm and it's not sufficient for the cooker and hob. It may be that the existing pipe needs refitting in 22mm. Or is the fitter going to just fit it and not worry about the poor pressure on the hob?

there are 2 separate 15mm pipes close to the cooker and hob and when i told him about this he said he would most probably use the spare
