Can anyone tell me what are the conditions of building on land which has a gas mains pipe running through it?
Basically looking to buy a piece of land with planning permission for a house on it, which has gas mains pipe running down the right side of it. We cannot build within 3 feet of gas pipe to allow access to the pipe.
Speaking with various professionals some state we may need to take out an insurance policy on the pipe???? Also would this push your building insurance up once house was built ?
Any advice appreciated, so we don't build house no one would touch....
