please could someone advise me on how to go about earthing my gas meter pipe ? i do have some electrical experience as i am studying at college .

i think that if i take a 10mm cable and connect to the outlet pipe close as poss to the meter via a bs clamp and the other end to the main earth in the cu that is how it is done .

is this right .

thankyou

not being a spark (as the name suggests) i know our regs are different to the iee but sounds ok to me
corgi regs bond must be within 450mm of meter and visible

ducks and waits for the sparks to attack a plumber for daring to post in their forum

Well posting that is within our regs so to speak! We can go upto 600mm! The clamp must be 'accessible'!
