Is it acceptable to run a gas pipe behind dry lining? Gas reg 19 'no pipe in unventilated void' would say no but then it leads me to ask about running through ceiling space as that is unventilated void but is surely used all the time for gas pipe runs?

yes it's fine either chase out the wall or put the plasterboard on dabs or battens to clear the pipe, they should run the entire length of the pipe though to protect it.

Thanks but how does the gas reg 19 fit in with ceiling spaces?
