Gas safety question.

I don't know, but some on here say it's OK, others that it's not. In any case a leak will soon be detected by smell

The cooker can be unplugged temporarily, not permanently. It needs capped properly.
OK, it's not my cooker, I posted out of curiosity. I didn't see how to use a manometer, before spotting the obvious, isolate at the meter and connect the manometer downstream.

Wrong as per usual try reading the regs or even gas safe TBs oh yeah your not qualified so stop trying give advice on something you clearly don't understand... tell you what denso sneek into th CC and see what the pros have said about it somany times in the past..

Do portable gas barbecues get capped off after every use do gas pokers get capped off after every use...eh no because a bayonet is an acceptible method to leave . Whether someone wants to go beyond that is up to them so get it right

Generally a bayonet fitting is accepted as a safe way to leave an old cooker connection point.

But if unlikely to be reused better capped off.

If a DIYer is worried about them leaking then it is possible to buy a small aerosol spray can of leak detection foam into the socket and watch that it is not bubbling.

A little silicone grease and pop one of these in
