Son has come home from Scouts with a ton of questions about home safety and in answering them I realised I’ve been meaning to work out why I can’t get the gas shut off to work. Photo shows the valve and handle which is attached with a pin and I can’t get it to turn. Should I be removing the pin, is it likely to just be stiff or should I be looking to get this replaced?

No, the pin is to keep the handle in place, do not remove it. The handle is probably just tight, and needs a bit more effort to turn it.
call your supplier the number will be on the meter and wey will attend foc and sort it
