Gas valve turned off

Hi everyone,
We are currently away and turned the gas valve off. Just checking to see if we can just turn it back when we return? Do we need to do anything other than turn the valve on? I like to turn off things before going away, to be safe.

All down to what gas appliances you have. If everything is electronic ignition then you should be fine. The issue starts when there are items with pilots etc. That being said with gas it's always best to get things checked yearly, this may be the prefect time to get a GSR engineer in and give things the once over.

What type of heating do you have and are you in an area that could get sub zero temps? If so then turning the gas off may not be the best idea if away during the winter.
