Hi guys
Looking to understand what the difference is in the way a hinge can be mounted for a garden gate (1.5m height x 0.9w wide)
I've seen examples where a t-hinge sits on the back of the fence post.
And then butt-hinges sitting on the inside of the post (similar to internal doors)
Are there pros and cons to either? Is one more suitable than the other for an outdoor gate at the size mentioned above?
Thanks in advance!

Either look is fine by me - was more wanting to understand if a certain hinge will provide a stronger gate fixing. If that makes sense?
Thanks!

Either will be fine and equivalent. The hinge used is fairly irrelevant; the screws used are the most critical aspect
