Help. I live in an old apartment. Old toilet with tank in wall. Toilet keeps "leaking" water through the overflow tube into the toilet. I took the back off and it seems that the stop ball needs to be higher. How can I do this? Have attached a pic. Any help appreciated. Cant afford a plumber!!!

Bend the bar so the Polystyrene dips more into the water or add some polystyrene to the bottom of it, does it stop dripping when you lif it up?????

It does stop dripping when it is higher but I can't see the bottom of it. I was afraid to bend the bar but should I bend it up? Thanks

You need the float end to go down. I have been searching to find out exactly what that is but can't see one anywhere.
