GEC Machines Ltd UK - replacement motor for paper shredder

Hi there - hope you can help. Have a commercial paper shredder but the motor has finally given up.

It is a GEC machines Ltd type BC P15 11 ?
FHP Motor

Can anyone help with where we might pick a replacement motor up - we are coming to the UK in may.

1. Yes it is definitely a GEC motor
2. Yes I wish you still had the shredder - but that's life.
3. Yes we do have motor rewinders here but it would cost more than what it is worth.

Would love to find a replacement motor if at all possible.

I thought you meant the manufacturer of the shredder. There are companies that specialise in the repair of commercial shredders & may be able to get a motor or suggest a suitable alternative type, but you would need to know the manufacturers details of the shredder.

Hi there - it is a Fordigraph shredder with GEC motor. Thanks for the link will read it shortly.

A word of warning. The question refers to a GEC motor, the british company. The link is to a catalogue for GE the American company. Not the same companies.

Fordigraph is now owned by GBC, an Australian company. Perhaps contacting them may be your best bet. A google search should find their website.

I don't know if it will help but it seems GEC motors are now part of Brook Crompton motors. They might help.
