i am building a retaining wall ,in order to put in footing it will undermine neighbours 6 foot fence posts including concrete any tips on supporting fence while i build all etc

Go talk to neighbour. Tell him what your`e going to do, and ask if he minds you taking the fence down and re planting after. It`s not worth the effort trying to prop a fence when the bases are gone!

In theory you should get a party wall agreement in place when doing stuff like this.. or you may be liable to replace the whole fence and anything else you may damage during and after construction..
