Why do you presume that?
Did it say there was 'no suggestion Mr Abaraonye's supporters were involved in the alleged intimidation?
Obviously Abaraonye wouldn't personally turn up and intimidate people. Georgy boy himself called for the confidence vote expecting to win enough support from within the Uni, he hadn't banked on the vote being extended to the global alumni.
This might be what we call a 'developing story'.

It told us that quite clearly. If his supporters had been involved, do you really not think that a "newspaper" like the DM, with their race-hate agenda, with their love of right-wing monsters like Charlie Kirk, would not have spun it as him being "involved" in some way?
No, it just said Abaraonye himself wasn't involved. I'm sure there will be further news tomorrow.
News starting to emerge that it was indeed Abaraonye supporters carrying out the intimidation.

[Oxford] University has come under scrutiny for a string of attempts by students to bar figures with Right-wing and gender- critical views from speaking at the university.
In an interview with BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, Lord Hague [Oxford University's Chancellor] was asked how he would deal with concerns about a “tendency among students not to accept points of view with which they disagree”.
He said: “Cancellation culture towards speakers that we disagree with is absolutely wrong."
