I have fitted approx twenty optimax combi boilers in the past two years, and on the whole have been ok, but what do you expect for a £480 boiler. Have had a couple of niggles with the filling loops not working after a while, and the boilers not firing up on commissioning procedure, and sticking pumps.
The last one I fitted, would not let me clear the fault code, and when Ferroli engineer turned up he spent a few hours getting working properly including changing flew spigot due to sky high CO levels, and then told me he could not find a fault.
Also made the mistake of fitting one in my house last year, which was a mistake as it sounds like a motor boat at times, but if I get two years out of it , I will be happy.
