If you're decorating inside a house and need to put a ladder on the stairs on you get round that?

On another note anyone used a microlite standoff and ankalad stabiliser? Do they work well together?

The best ladders to use on a staircase is probably one of the telescopic ones so it will extend to just the right height. I use a cut down double aluminium ladder which is nice and strong to work off and will fit inside house and van easy.

How about if u need to put one leg on one step and the other on another one.

Not very stable.

I would pitch ladder with feet against the upright of the treads with the top of the ladder resting against the wall ( covered with a dust sheet) and place scaffolding on ladder rung and onto landing taking care not to fall off scaffolding board/s

Mini Scaffolding can be useful but takes time to erect and dismantle.
One reason why no DIYer undertakes the decorating of a hallway stair and landing.

.

Do you mean place the ladder's feet against treads- what are treads?

when you say scaffolding, do you mean scaffolding plank?

I built a 2 legged table that I fixed to my stairs when I painted.

I used this today- stairmaster- wasn't comfortable but used it on stairs in picture. I think my ladder is a bit too small for it though as screws didn't tighten
