Hi, I'm having problems getting heating oil from ground floor to first floor were the boiler is.
Ran out of oil and recked oil pump trying to get it up to the boiler again ( lack of oil to lubricate).
Is there an alternative way of getting oil up to the boiler without using the actual boilers pump IE can I buy a stand alone pump for this purpose?

You need an Oil Lifter mate;
BES Part No 19502
HTH
Well I was thinking more along the lines of a portable pump that I could use now and again when needed & for friends.
Only needed when run out of oil & don't say it (don't run out of oil)

OK so you need a cheap brake fluid pump & a new tank gauge....... ;)

I used to use an outboard motor fuel line and priming bulb to prime (suck) oil systems when I was working. :idea: Cheap and cheerful but worked.

Not sure if it would suck to the 1st floor though. :( It might push from the bottom though. You get them from boat shops/chandlers.
