Getting into valley areas. Short ladder?

I have a sectional pro roofing ladder (oooo check me!) But the the shortest bit with the ridge hook is 2.4m long.

What is the accepted method of getting further into the valley area?

Move the ridge hooks and redial the ladder sides?
