getting sgns and glue off van

Right, I've removed the stickers from my van, everything looked great. A week later and dirt has stuck on where the glue from the stickers remained. Now the van is covered in writing made from muck! How do I get the glue off?

Thinners or white sprit

Metylated spirit will also do the job.

DON'T USE THINNERS cellulose thinners will dissolve the laquer. White spirit & meths are ok

After cleaning off the adhesive you need to wax the area otherwise the marks will keep coming back.

I normally use petrol to remove the adhesive followed by "T cut" or mild rubbing compound and then a good polish with a wax, such as turtle wax or similar.

Unless the van is almost new you will nearly always be able see where the stickers were, which is due to the surrounding areas being effected by the sun etc.
