Currently have a corner shower (900 x 900) with a fixed panel and a hinged door and on a raised Acrylic tray.

The tray and shower having been in use for some 10 years with no issues of movement causing leaks around the tray edge sealing.

Thinking of replacing the shower panel using a glass block wall sitting on top of the tray and new hinged door fixed to the existing tiled wall.

Any comments of building a glass block wall on top of a Acrylic tray.

Strange idea, blocks will be wider than tray edge, far more weight on a glass wall than a shower panel.

Can't you build it up off the floor next to the tray? If you did build it off the tray it will eat into your shower space. Also I believe glass bocks are non structural and they need to be built inside a frame of some description.
