Hi Folks,
Needing some help, my friend has a small hotel with 12 rooms, there are two gledhill esprit water heaters, each with a single 3kw heating element. these elements have broken down 3 times since August. Wiring is 2.5mm2. no conductivity on one faulty unit we pulled..it was pinholed and must have corroded inside...We need hot water. Yesterday we could only get warm water.
The elements get replaced under warranty but it means no hot water for days!
Maybe it is the theremostats this time?
We are getting the gas connected this week which should help but do you think these twin heaters each with a 3kw elements should cope with 12 showers? how long do you think it should take to heat each tank to 60-70 deg c?
Have you had similar quality problems with Gledhill heaters?
