Global mass rearmament

It was never going to happen. If he keeps his stolen land all he has done is move his borders closer to NATO. It doesn't make any sense.
hang on, let me see if I can find something quicker to explain it.

You have a crystal ball do you? You've no more idea than anybody else. And what does "openly happened" mean?
now what do you think openly happened means . US and UK amongst others have had special forces in there but discretely so as it doesnt escalate as it would if our governments were saying yep we are in there fighting against you . This happens the world over in battle zones .
And amazing how everyone calls putin a lunatic madman who would do anything . Then step back and think he would not escalate it right to the limit . Dont forget those in power get to survive we dont

exactly

It is the strategic positioning of Ukraine that has caused this. I understand and agree with your statement but unfortunately Ukraine is a step too far as NATO membership is surrounding Russia. They don't see it this way.
I am terrible sorry but you are wrong

What you are saying is this: "countries neighbouring Russia must not join NATO because Putin wants those countries to have no defence so Putin can invade them as he wishes

In case you hadnt noticed, Putin hasnt invaded a single NATO country but he has invaded 5 countries which arent members

your argument has no logic

why would he have shat himself thought he is a lunatic with no regard for life and does what he wants
What do you think NATO would (or should) have done if Putin had massed his forces near, say the Polish border? What's the point of NATO if it won't stand up to Russia?

they didnt though did they
. They could also mass their troops 55 miles away from America but havent .
Suggest you look at what the point of NATO is it is not to defend none members

false framing to suit your argument

Putin is a brutal Imperialist dictator, he is not a lunatic.
Putin only understands power
Whatever Putin claims to believe, he must know today isn't the 1940s and Russia is in no danger from NATO or the west. That's not to say his position isn't at risk, when Russians compare their lifestyle with the west's.
But the Baltic states among others might well be nervous of Russian aggression, Russia has plenty of form. It's not surprising they would seek to protect themselves.
