you will most likely find an number on the pole to identify the lamp within the street, and a phone number to ring on a label at intervals on some of the other lamps, for the company which mainteins them.

actually when the ice caps melt this will reduce the amount of salt in the sea which will then cause the gulf stream (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulf_Stream) to stop circulating which then in turn will switch off the steady stream of heat (equivalent to 1,000,000 power stations) that we get in the uk.

In effect the UK will have another ice age.

Typical! - Only the uk could be so cr@p that the whole world has hotter temperatures with lots of sun and we get an ice age.

Im not over bothered about global warming. However I have changed every lamp in our house to energy efficient jobs. Just makeing a point that we are constantly preached to about reducing carbon emmisisons etc made me laugh
