I have inherited a perfect ceiling, no cracks etc, but it is painted with gloss oil paint.
I want to emulsion it ideally but not sure if it will be succesfull.
any advice?

Rub it down as best you can...use a pole sander, then a coat of acrylic undercoat, then your emulsion.

You can also use oil based undercoat first but youl have to let it really dry first...for about a week.

I would have thought that you'd need to key it lightly but I'm not expert. Zampa will put you straight in a minute though.
Take it away Steve......

I had been yeah - and I mixed a couple of Strongbows in there for a sas. Go figure.
Cheers.....hic,

Finished drinking....or working? :?

Wash your mouth out Steve!
I meant I've finished work. Well I had, but I've been drafted into helping out at my parent's shop, so I'll be playing the Bob Cratchit role this year.

I'll probably be too busy to post before (what with all the partying etc), so I'll wish you all a happy christmas now.

Cheers,
Gcol
