Glossed Coving

Hello guys,

I've taken a job on where the coving has been glossed. The people that live there now want the ceiling and the coving emulsioned a matt finish.

Now, do I rub the coving down and apply vinyl matt emulsion or do I rub it down and apply an undercoat before I emusion?

What kind of coving is it ?

Is it gyproc coving or poly or ornamental !

Id go for a good rub down and a coat of acrylic primer undercoat first.

I'm guessing it's gyproc coving.
Think I'll go for a good rub and the primer undercoat!

Be very carefull though.

I say this cos some acrylic primer/undercoats are made for specific enviroments.

To be safe, i would go for Dulux Trade Quick Drying Wood Primer Undercoat.

Then slightly sand down the srface of the above paint once dry.
