hi, the gas burner is cutting out eraticly on this boiler
the links below show what i think are solenoids? the one with the yellow
spot on it is the offending one, also just behind it you should see a resistor
this is getting quite hot i presume the solenoid cannot be replaced so take it that i would have to replace the circuit board, any thoughts or advice would be nice.

yous solenoids are relays

i will second that, they are relays. They can be replaced quite easily, but the problem is what is the cause of the problem.

how long has she got
is it inoperable can anything be done?

the boiler runs for about five minutes then starts cutting in/out
its only a couple of years old surely it cant be ware
how do i check gas valve and air presure valve/switch
am starting to get cold

not got one? then you are not qualified to work on gas, sorry.

yes actually it was help that i was asking for not to be patronised,
i have used 2 corgi reg fitters in the past both initiated back hand settlements one was quite respectable the other was a sweathead.
its not surprising tho when the likes of british gas employ WMD tactics to scare customers into taking out a small mortgage to maintain simple domestic systems.
plumbers shouldnt be so greedy in the first place, and i use the term "fitters" as nothing is fixed anymore just replaced.
