Glow Worm Hot Water Express 80 - knob stuck

Hi all,

Hoping someone might be able to advise on this one.

I've just had the pleasure at last of buying my own house and in it I have a Glow Worm boiler in the kitchen.

For some reason it is switched to Central Heating and Hot Water (winter) and will not switch to Hot Water only (summer).
I've pushed the switch quite hard and so have friends and family that have taken a look but all to no avail, the thing just won't budge.

I didn't want to snap it off or something so have left it. The digital thermostat has central heating as off.

I tried switching the boiler off and even switched the stop cock to off for the water into the house and drained the hot water but still no luck...

Any ideas anyone??? Is it going to be a case of severe brute force or should something else be changed/switched off?

The digital thermostat has central heating as off.

So why worry if you can turn the heating off at the stat??????

Not worth throwing money at or losing sleep over IMHO
