My boiler keeps tripping the RCD switch, i've had a look at it (not planning on doing any work myself), it seems that there is a metal circular part in what i think is the fan that is loose, instead of going around it vibrates up and down then starts spinning a little then back to vibrating as it does not sit flat and has a slight bend in it so it gets stuck, then the electricity cuts out! I'm a female living alone and don't want to be ripped off, i'm guessing that either the metal spinning part of the fan needs replacing or the whole fan, can anyone please tell me if i will need a whole fan or if just the metal spinning part can be replaced?

Thanks

dont worry the complete fan will probably be changed, contarary to what alot people may believe most heating engineers are conscientious hard working people and not out there to rip you off

Before the registered gas installer is given the go ahead i am sure he will give you price for the parts and labour.

so then you will have choice whether you want it done or not

Thanks i was hoping some one would tell me just the part could be replace and not the whole fan, but if it's the whole fan i better prepare myself for some costly quotes.
