I have one of these combined with a Danfoss FP715 Domestic Two-Channel Electronic Programmer and a Honeywell thermostat.

My question may sound a little (or a lot, depending on your knowledge) daft.I want to run the CH all the time in the cold weather but on a really low setting, like it's just ticking over.

Do i just turn the control knob for the temp on the boiler down too just above the "0" and switch the programmer to "all day" and set the thermostat to X degrees. Will this work or is it more complicated than that.

Will it affect the HW.this only comes on twice a day 6am to 8am and 6pm to 8pm.I only have two sinks, bathroom and kitchen.

I don't have a bath just a shower which is a Mira Zest connected to the cold water mains supply.

The boiler has been serviced and works fine, pipes lagged loft insulation done.Never had a pipe freeze or burst. It is also an open vent system with tanks in the loft and a cylinder for the HW.

Any and all help greatly appreciated

If you turn the boiler stat down too low the hot water won't reach temperature.

To run the heating all the time stick the programmer on constant for heating ,set the room stat lower and turn it up when you want to boost the room temperature.

I'd also look at reducing the amount of time you have the programmer set for hot water. You shouldn't need it on for 4 hours a day just to feed two sinks.
