MyG/W fuelsaver f 80btu has developed an annoying habit of not igniting, sometimes for hours. the pilot and spark come on, but the second "click" which i guess is the gas valve opening is intermittent and today (being vvcold) it's worse than ever. Had the gas valve replaced which made no difference.
Thanks

possibly pcb/ign. lead not rectifying or insufficient gas pressure maybe bad earth

Strange thing is that some times it will fire up and run ok for ages then like today start/stop and so on. it always seems to spark and the pilot stays on.

Probable pilot restiction not allowing rectification. (When was boiler last serviced?) Classic intermittant fault.

CORGI territory though.

Corgi had a look and diagnosed the pilot jet, which he said would lead to intermittent ignition etc. cleaned it up, now wotking ok. will fit a new one and ignition tip soon.
