Erratic problem with Glow Worm Spacesaver boiler about 18 years old, pilot light type. Never had trouble with the boiler.
Fitted new Drayton Simplifix kit of controls inc 3 way valve about a year ago-worked ok.
In the last few days not switching on in the morning, in accordance with the settings on the clock, timed to start at 5.50am, so cold house. But then, maybe 3-4 hours later boiler ignites, heating radiators nicely, runs for maybe 20 minutes or so, switches off, then stays dormant for another 3-4 hours or so, and repeats the cycle.
Checked pump, rotating ok. Turned room thermostat up high, no effect.
Would anybody out there be able to supply a check list in order to track down the fault?
