Do you think I can get the sodding thing to fire up.

Has the options board fitted + clipostat....
Powers up no problem LCD illuminates, but following the instructions the boiler will not fire up.
Push button to display ch/radiator symbol..turn clipstat/room stat up & boiler according to instructions should fire up

Anybody got any ideas? .......................... I hate doing central heating.

whats a clipostat?
What button?
Try and be a bit clearer with your problem.
Have you got hot water? Sounds to me there's no demand to the boiler.

You can check the boiler will fire up ok by applying 240v to the frost protection terminal (terminal 'F', unsurprisingly).

Sorry that should have been Climastat, not clipostat.

The unit has the Glow worm Options Board installed so no external controls are in use, have been told the options board utilises the CH & HW functions on the boiler digital control lcd panel.

pump connected directly to the boiler
valve connected to wiring centre & in turn connected back to boiler "R" terminal
climastat connected to Ebus terminals on boiler
cylinder stat connected to wiring centre

All as per the instructions that came with the options board.

but unit will not ignite at Initial Lighting?
Customer said the system is full of water & gas is on.

Back there later today so will do as you say mogg & make sure the boiler fires up with 230v applied to frost terminal
