pressure drop after heating shut down over about 2-3 hrs 1bar to 0.6bar water is being discharged out of overflow pipe checked expansion vessel pressure it reads 1.2 bar
any advice would be very helpful

silver braided flexible hose to expansion vessel is probably blocked

Are you checking the expansion vessel with the system still full. It needs to be on zero pressure to get a correct reading or your just measuring system pressure through the expansion vessel.

Also 1.2 is too high. Its should be slightly less than system pressyre around 0.8 bar

Your PRV is where all the waters going but need to know why it opened in the first place.
