Hi,

I've got a Glow worm ultimate boiler that has stopped working.
I changed a radiator earlier in the week for which I drained the system and then refilled it afterwards, all the rad's have bled OK.
What happens now is the boiler fires up OK and the flame stays lit for a couple of minutes then goes out, about a minute later the reset button trips out. I reset it and the same thing happens again. It's a Y plan system, I've checked the pump and I'm pretty sure it doesn't run when during the time between when the boiler fires up and finally trips (the boiler and pump are on different floors) . I had the pump apart last night, it was a wee bit stiff but turned OK and didn't appear to be clogged up.
Is there a logical faulting sequence I should be following to prove what my problem is please ?

Many thanks,
Andy.

Thanks for the reply, apologies, I've just added a bit to the original question. When you say pump fault is it the pump or the systems that control the pump ?

Its a circulation fault.

Pump?
Air?
Blockage in cold feed (unlikely based on the fact you can vent the upstairs radiators.)

Look up the FAQ's with regards to pump failure.
